It's been busy!

MacKenzie,
Well, again it seems that even with an online journal for your growth I'm missing days to write to you. Things have been so busy, that I feel there hasn't been much time to even be online. So I'm going to try to do a little make-up.

Today we were suppose to go to town and go to my chiro appt and do some grocery shopping. I got you all buckled in, got in and turned the key.....my truck wouldn't start. I'm really happy that it happened then instead of Thursday when we were an hour away. At least this way were were only stranded at home. You got to see the tow truck driver load my truck and you thought it was pretty neat. There were lots of "whoas".

Instead of going anywhere we got to stay home and play! We got out Smokey Joe and went for a ride. You love it. You tell him to walk, jog and whoa. You giggle the whole time you are 'going fast' at a jog. You were a great help with brushing and you even tried to pick out his hooves. When Daddy got home you told him that the hoof pick was to clean feet and you cleaned off the bottom of his boots!

Daddy's home! The weekend is finally here and Daddy isn't working this Saturday. Today was a day of play, well between trips we took. We first needed to go pick up my truck (thankfully it was only the battery, but after the other recent trouble it was better for the machanics look at it while not running than for us to get it running). You love riding in Daddy's truck. You get to sit forward facing in your carseat and get to see everything. It's a whole new look at things for you!

While you were suppose to be sleeping, I told Daddy I thought you needed a bigger slide. We went to Danville after you got up and you ended up with a slide, rockwall and stairs.

After you went to bed, we started to take down the tree house we had built for Uncle Josh many years ago. It needed to be moved and the deck lowered. We got it down and it was dark.

Daddy and I got up early and started working on moving the treehouse lumber for your playset. You were up early because we had the skidloader in the yard. It's interesting trying to build and keep an eye on you without you feeling left out when we tell you that you can't come near. We got the deck up and it was time for church.

You were so good during church. You actually sat well most of the time. I kept you pretty busy with your lunch and a sucker!

When we got home we got busy on the playset. Grandma and Grandpa were too be coming over soon. It really didn't take long to get things done for you. You were up the rock wall and down the slide. I take that back, down the slide isn't the right wording. You flew down the slide. It is way too fast and too steep. We need to add some dirt under it to raise it up. If someone doesn't catch you, you are going to go flying.

Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Jon came over. You showed off your slide to them. You can Grandma jumped on the trampoline. That was a sight! =) We came inside after a while of playing and you dragged them one by one back to your room to play individually. I'm surprised that Grandpa got down on the floor with you!

We played all day outside. You have worn me out! You absolutely love your slide. You were helping me put the handles on and decided you wanted to go on your slide. I told you that you needed to wait but you didn't listen. From where I was, there was no way I could get to the bottom of the slide to catch you. I just missed you. Since you didn't get hurt, I wish I would have had a video of you flying off the slide, it was like the movies. You flew through the air off the end of the slide. Your feet hit about 2 1/2 ft from the end and that sent you back into the air flying forward. You ended up landing face down, with a bump on your head about 6 ft from the end of the slide.

One of the cutest things I saw you do today was while you were eating. I was in the kitchen putting dishes away. You had a piece of chicken in your hand and held it out to my chair - "Say please. Please" and you pulled your hand back put the chicken in your mouth "Thank". It was so cute. You are growing up so fast.

We again played outside all day. I'm exhausted!!!

Tonight when we were reading stories you picked your Bible stories book. You saw pictures of the angel and you had to give him kisses. any page that had Mary or an angel you did that with. It was really cute!

We played outside this morning. You even convinced me to go down the slide with you. I hardly got stopped at the end!

This afternoon if was raining so we played inside.

Again tonight we read your bible stories. You again kissed the angel. You looked at me and said "kiss" like you were asking permission. I think it is so cute. It is even funnier to hear you say kiss since most of the time you say it with a p.

I heard a thud while you were playing as you always do before you climb into bed. I go to your door and the light is on. For the first time you pushed a crate up to the switch and turned it on. You also fell off. It won't be long before you are coming out of your room on your own.
Love,
Mommy
